What was built
Bootle Castle, also known as Miller’s Castle, was recreated in North Park, along with two nearby Bootle landmarks: the obelisks which in the 1800s acted as a navigation point for ships entering the Mersey. The build brought a lost corner of the town’s history back into view.

What happened on the Saturday
A seaside theme ran through the programme developed by The Atkinson, with live music, outdoor theatre, arts and crafts, a fairground and food and drink concessions. It made for a full family day out beside the castle.
